A quick and easy spicy mango margarita mocktail that blends fresh mango puree with a subtle smoky heat and a splash of lime, perfect for a refreshing, alcohol-free drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped (about 300 grams)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 60 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (preferably mild, smoky like ancho)
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt for glass rim (coarse sea salt or kosher salt)
  • 1 cup sparkling water (about 240 ml)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh cilantro or mint leaves (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pour some coarse salt onto a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass to moisten, then dip the rim into the salt to coat. Set glasses aside.
  2. Place chopped mangoes into the blender. Add honey or agave syrup, fresh lime juice, chili powder, and smoked paprika if using.
  3. Blend on medium-high for about 45 seconds to 1 minute until smooth but pourable. Add a tablespoon of water if too thick.
  4. Fill each rimmed glass about halfway with ice cubes.
  5. Divide the mango puree evenly between the glasses, filling about two-thirds full.
  6. Top each glass with 1/2 cup (120 ml) sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro or mint leaves and a thin lime wheel on the rim if desired.

Notes

Chill glasses beforehand for extra refreshment. Taste the mango puree before adding sparkling water to adjust sweetness or spice. Use ripe mangoes for best flavor. Start with less chili powder to control heat. Strain puree for smoother texture if desired. Keep sparkling water chilled to maintain fizz.
