A bright, tangy, and sweet summer punch combining fresh strawberries, lemon juice, vodka, and simple syrup, perfect for quick and easy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 4 large lemons, juiced (about 1 cup fresh lemon juice)
  • 1 ½ cups vodka
  • ¾ cup simple syrup
  • 3 cups cold water or club soda
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced strawberries in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Gently muddle them with a muddler or wooden spoon until they release their juice but are not completely pureed (about 3-4 minutes).
  2. Roll the lemons on the counter to soften, then juice until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain out seeds.
  3. Add the lemon juice and ¾ cup simple syrup to the pitcher with the muddled strawberries. Stir gently to combine and adjust sweetness if desired.
  4. Pour in 1 ½ cups vodka and mix well. For a lighter punch, start with 1 cup vodka and adjust after tasting.
  5. Add 3 cups cold water or club soda and stir gently to keep bubbles intact if using soda.
  6. Add plenty of ice cubes to chill the punch. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and whole strawberries. Serve immediately in tall glasses.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries and freshly squeezed lemon juice for best flavor. Do not over-muddle strawberries to avoid a gritty texture. Add club soda last and stir gently to keep fizz. Prepare ahead by mixing all except ice and soda; add those just before serving. Frozen fruit can be used instead of ice to avoid dilution.
