These pull-apart buffalo chicken sliders combine spicy buffalo chicken with a sweet honey butter glaze for a perfect balance of flavors. Easy to make and perfect for game days or casual dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works perfectly)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 12 soft slider buns or small brioche rolls (King’s Hawaiian style buns ideal)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: thinly sliced celery, extra ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups shredded cooked chicken with 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce, 1/4 cup ranch dressing, 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter, and 1 cup shredded cheese. Stir gently until evenly coated.
  2. Slice each slider bun horizontally using kitchen scissors or a serrated knife. Set aside the tops.
  3. Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns tightly in a baking dish.
  4. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom buns.
  5. Place the top halves of the buns over the chicken mixture, pressing lightly.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  7. Brush the honey butter glaze generously over the top of the slider buns.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake sliders for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden and slightly crisp.
  9. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally add thin slices of celery or extra dressing.

Notes

Do not skip the ranch or blue cheese dressing in the chicken mix to keep filling moist and smooth out heat. Use shredded rotisserie chicken for convenience or poach chicken breasts fresh. Brush honey butter glaze generously for best flavor and shine. Watch sliders closely in last 5 minutes to avoid overbrowning; tent with foil if needed. Variations include adjusting spice level, cheese types, and gluten-free or low-carb options.
