  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with olive oil.
  2. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a flat surface. If it’s too thick, use a rolling pin to flatten it slightly, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long. These will form your breadsticks.
  4. To form the Christmas tree shape, start with the longest strip at the bottom of the baking sheet. Gradually make the strips shorter as you build upward, layering them to resemble a triangular tree shape.
  5. Take the melted butter and mix in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture generously over the breadsticks.
  6. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the breadsticks, ensuring every piece gets a little cheesy goodness.
  7. Bake the breadsticks in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up beautifully.
  8. Once baked, remove the breadsticks from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top for that festive green color.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

Grease the baking sheet well to prevent sticking. Experiment with different cheeses or add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Use fresh garlic for maximum flavor.
