A colorful and easy-to-assemble dessert board featuring sweet treats, fresh berries, cheeses, and nuts, perfect for sharing at Galentine’s or Valentine’s brunch gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Assorted mini cupcakes or macarons (e.g., Ladurée macarons)
  • Chocolate truffles (dark, milk, or rose-flavored)
  • Chocolate-dipped strawberries (fresh, medium-sized berries)
  • Mini heart-shaped sugar cookies (store-bought or homemade)
  • Ripe raspberries
  • Strawberries, sliced or whole
  • Blueberries
  • Seedless grapes (red or green)
  • Soft goat cheese or cream cheese balls (optional herbs or honey drizzle)
  • Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, or pecans)
  • Honey or berry jam for drizzling
  • Edible flowers (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash all berries, grapes, and fresh fruit thoroughly. Slice strawberries and any larger fruit into manageable pieces. Pat dry gently with a paper towel to prevent watery spots on the board.
  2. Place small bowls or ramekins on the serving board first. Fill them with honey, berry jam, or nuts to create structure and visual balance.
  3. Arrange mini cupcakes, macarons, truffles, and cookies around the bowls, spacing colors and shapes evenly. Place chocolate-dipped strawberries near the edges for a pop of red.
  4. Add soft goat cheese balls or cream cheese clusters near one corner. Sprinkle mixed nuts loosely around the board to add texture and abundance.
  5. Tuck raspberries, blueberries, and grapes into the gaps, layering fruit slightly overlapping for a lush look but avoid crowding too tightly.
  6. Scatter fresh mint leaves and edible flowers where desired. Drizzle honey or jam lightly over cheese or fruit if desired. Adjust spacing for visual appeal.

Notes

Assemble the board just before serving to keep fruit fresh and chocolates from melting. Keep the board covered with plastic wrap if prepping early. For dietary adaptations, swap sweets for gluten-free or vegan options and use dairy-free cheeses if needed. Avoid overcrowding the board for best presentation.
