A quick and easy charcuterie board featuring fresh berries, creamy cheeses, nuts, and sweet touches, perfect for baby showers and festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Blueberries, washed
  • Raspberries, gently rinsed
  • Blackberries, fresh and plump
  • Soft goat cheese or chèvre
  • Brie or camembert wheel, sliced
  • Fresh mozzarella balls (optional)
  • Honey, preferably local raw honey
  • Honeycomb chunks (optional)
  • Vanilla bean whipped cream or lightly sweetened mascarpone
  • Toasted almonds or pecans
  • Lightly salted pistachios
  • Assorted crackers (thin water crackers or multigrain; gluten-free options work well)
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all berries gently under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Hull the strawberries carefully and slice them in halves or quarters depending on size. Leave blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries whole but remove any stems or leaves.
  2. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and add almonds or pecans. Toast for 4-5 minutes, stirring often until fragrant and lightly browned. Remove from heat and, while still warm, toss with a tablespoon of honey for a sticky-sweet coating. Let cool completely.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut goat cheese into small chunks or logs, slice the brie into wedges, and drain mozzarella balls. Arrange cheeses spaced out on the serving board.
  4. Begin placing berries in clusters around the cheeses, mixing colors and shapes to create a playful, inviting look. Scatter honeycomb pieces strategically for visual interest. Place toasted nuts and pistachios in small piles or in ramekins along the edges.
  5. Fan out crackers in empty spaces, tuck in fresh mint leaves, and sprinkle edible flowers if using. Place small bowls of vanilla bean whipped cream or mascarpone nearby for dipping or spreading.
  6. Drizzle a bit more honey over some berries and cheese for a glossy, sweet finish.

Notes

Use firm but ripe berries to avoid mushiness. Toast nuts carefully to prevent burning and add honey while warm for better adhesion. Let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving. Assemble the board shortly before guests arrive to keep berries fresh. For dairy-free, substitute cheeses with plant-based alternatives and use coconut yogurt whipped cream.
