A quick and playful deviled eggs recipe decorated to look like Baby Yoda, perfect for gatherings and sure to delight kids and adults alike with its creamy, tangy filling and charming presentation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 23 drops green food coloring (gel recommended)
  • Black olives, sliced thinly
  • Small triangle-shaped tortilla chips (mini or broken larger chips)

Instructions

  1. Place 12 large eggs in a single layer in a medium pot. Cover with cold water about 1 inch above the eggs. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat (about 10 minutes). Once boiling, cover pot, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let chill for at least 10 minutes to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
  3. Gently tap each egg on the counter to crack the shell, then peel under running water if helpful. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  4. Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl, avoiding breaking the whites.
  5. Mash yolks with a fork or potato masher until smooth. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until creamy.
  6. Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring to the yolk mixture and stir until a light green hue is achieved. Add more drops if a deeper color is desired.
  7. Using a piping bag or spoon, fill each egg white half with the green yolk mixture, aiming for a smooth, rounded top.
  8. Break tortilla chips into small triangles resembling ears. Insert one chip into each side of the filled egg half, slightly tilted.
  9. Slice black olives into ¼ inch thick circles. Place two olive slices on each egg half near the top center to form eyes. Optionally, add a tiny dab of cream cheese or mayo inside the olive for a glint effect.
  10. Arrange the Baby Yoda Deviled Eggs on a serving platter. Chill for 15-20 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and ears set firmly.

Notes

Use older eggs for easier peeling or add baking soda to boiling water. Adjust green food coloring gradually to avoid overpowering color. Add ears just before serving to keep them crisp. If yolk filling is too thick, add a teaspoon of milk or more mayo to loosen. Vegan and spicy variations available.
