These crispy bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers are stuffed with a creamy blend of cream cheese and cheddar, delivering a smoky, spicy, and addictive snack perfect for parties or game nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 medium fresh jalapeños, washed and halved lengthwise
  • 8 ounces (225g) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup (about 115g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices thin-cut bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped cooked bacon bits
  • Optional: smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut 12 jalapeños in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, pressing gently to fill completely without overstuffing.
  5. Wrap each filled jalapeño half with one slice of thin-cut bacon, spiraling to cover the cheese. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped poppers seam side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet or air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  7. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or air fry for 15-18 minutes until bacon is crispy and golden and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let the poppers cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use thin-cut bacon for easier wrapping and crispier results. Soak toothpicks in water for 15 minutes to prevent burning. Press poppers gently with a spatula midway through baking if bacon curls. Avoid overstuffing jalapeños to prevent cheese overflow. Air fryer reduces cooking time and yields crispier bacon.
