A quick and easy whipped feta dip combining creamy feta, honey, and fresh herbs for a light, fluffy, and flavorful appetizer perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces feta cheese (preferably block feta)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese or Greek yogurt, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey (mild, floral like clover or wildflower)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh herbs (dill, mint, parsley)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of sea salt, if needed

Instructions

  1. Crumble the feta into chunks, chop the herbs finely, and mince the garlic. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out at room temperature for about 15 minutes or microwaving it for 10 seconds if in a rush.
  2. Place the crumbled feta and softened cream cheese (or Greek yogurt) into your food processor. Pulse a few times to start breaking down the cheese.
  3. While the food processor is running, drizzle in the olive oil and lemon juice slowly to help create a creamy emulsion. Process for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and chopped herbs. Pulse a couple more times until everything is evenly mixed but you still see little flecks of herbs for texture.
  5. Taste the dip and add freshly cracked black pepper. Only add salt if needed, since feta is naturally salty. Pulse briefly to combine any added seasoning.
  6. Spoon the whipped feta into a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  7. Just before serving, drizzle the honey generously over the top.

Notes

Use a block of feta for a smoother texture instead of pre-crumbled feta. Let cream cheese or Greek yogurt come to room temperature before blending for easier whipping. Drizzle honey just before serving for the best flavor contrast. If dip is too thick, add a splash of milk or olive oil to loosen. Chill dip for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors.
