These creamy everything bagel deviled eggs combine the rich creaminess of cream cheese filling with the salty, garlicky crunch of everything bagel seasoning for a quick, delicious snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 4 ounces (115 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons (6 grams) everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons (6 grams) fresh chives, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: smoked paprika or extra everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Place 12 large eggs in a single layer in a pot. Cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and let cool for at least 5 minutes. Peel the shells off gently under running water if needed.
  3. Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash yolks with a fork until crumbly.
  4. Add softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and yellow mustard to the yolks. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in everything bagel seasoning and finely chopped fresh chives. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix until luscious and spreadable.
  6. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg white halves.
  7. Sprinkle extra everything bagel seasoning or smoked paprika on top. Chill for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use the off-heat steep method to avoid greenish yolk rings. Soften cream cheese to room temperature for smooth filling. If filling is too thick, add more mayonnaise; if too loose, add more cream cheese or chill. Peeling under running water helps remove shells cleanly. Chill before serving for best flavor and texture.
