Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup vodka (plain or flavored)
  • 1 package cherry gelatin mix
  • Black sugar crystals
  • Optional garnish: fresh cherries or tiny vampire fangs candy

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of boiling water with the cherry gelatin mix. Stir with a whisk until the gelatin is fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).
  2. Measure out 1 cup of vodka and pour it into the bowl. Add 1 cup of cold water and stir until the liquids are evenly mixed.
  3. Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into your shot cups, filling each about ¾ full.
  4. Place the filled cups on a tray and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until the jello is fully set.
  5. Wet the rim of each cup lightly with water or a dab of corn syrup. Dip the rim into a small plate of black sugar crystals, twisting slightly to coat.
  6. If desired, top each shot with a fresh cherry or a fun Halloween-themed candy.

Notes

Use a turkey baster or small funnel to pour the jello mixture into the cups without spilling. Experiment with flavors and garnishes for a personalized touch.
