These savory sausage cream cheese balls are bite-sized snacks with bold flavors, perfect for parties or gatherings. Easy to make and endlessly satisfying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground sausage (mild, spicy, or breakfast sausage)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups biscuit mix (e.g., Bisquick)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Optional: chopped green onions, diced jalapeños, or crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, cream cheese, and shredded cheddar. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Gradually add the biscuit mix to the sausage mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
  5. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion the dough into small balls. Roll them gently in your hands to smooth out the edges.
  6. Arrange the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each for even cooking.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let the sausage balls cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for easier mixing. To prevent spreading, chill the balls in the fridge for 10 minutes before baking. Add a splash of milk if the dough feels too dry.
