  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 46 fresh jalapeños, sliced and deseeded
  • 812 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 46 burger buns, toasted
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, condiments

Instructions

  1. Wash, slice, and deseed the jalapeños. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into equal portions (about 6-8 depending on size). Flatten each portion, add a pinch of shredded cheddar cheese to the center, and fold the meat around it to create a stuffed patty.
  4. Take 1-2 slices of bacon per patty and wrap them around, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high (about 375°F/190°C).
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side. Flip carefully to avoid losing the bacon wrapping.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. During the last minute of grilling, place the burger buns on the grill to lightly toast.
  9. Add your desired toppings and condiments, and serve hot.
