A bright and refreshing homemade strawberry lemonade bursting with sweet and tangy flavors, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 56 medium lemons)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water (divided into 2 cups for blending and 2 cups for mixing)
  • Ice (optional, for serving)
  • Mint leaves (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and slice 2 cups of strawberries. If using frozen strawberries, thaw them first.
  2. Add the strawberries and 2 cups of water to your blender. Blend until smooth, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Pour the strawberry puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or directly into your serving pitcher. Use a spoon to press down and extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
  4. Juice the lemons to make about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain out any seeds if necessary.
  5. In your pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, lemon juice, sugar, and remaining 2 cups of water. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  6. Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness to your liking. Add more sugar or lemon juice as needed.
  7. Add ice cubes to the pitcher or individual glasses. Garnish with mint leaves or lemon slices if desired. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.

Notes

[‘Choose ripe strawberries for the best flavor.’, ‘Roll lemons on the counter before juicing to release more juice.’, ‘Refrigerate the lemonade for an hour before serving to let the flavors meld.’, ‘Replace half the water with sparkling water for a fizzy twist.’]
