These Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups combine creamy pudding layers, crunchy cookie crumbs, and playful candy decorations for a whimsical fall dessert that’s easy to make and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate pudding (instant pudding mix or premade pudding cups)
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies (crushed, such as Oreos)
  • Candy pumpkins (mellowcreme pumpkins)
  • Gummy worms (optional)
  • Edible grass or green sprinkles
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Clear cups for assembly

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding by following the package instructions if using instant pudding mix. Set aside to thicken.
  2. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or resealable bag and rolling pin.
  3. Add a layer of chocolate pudding to the bottom of each clear cup and smooth it out with the back of a spoon.
  4. Sprinkle a layer of crushed cookies over the pudding to create the ‘dirt’ layer.
  5. Repeat the layers with another layer of pudding followed by another layer of cookie crumbs.
  6. Decorate the top with candy pumpkins, gummy worms, and edible grass to create a pumpkin patch scene.
  7. Refrigerate the cups for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve chilled.
