A luscious and festive cocktail combining rich chocolate liqueur and refreshing peppermint schnapps, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) chocolate liqueur
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) peppermint schnapps
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) vodka
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) heavy cream or half-and-half
  • Ice
  • Candy canes, crushed for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup, optional for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Crush the candy canes into fine pieces and spread them on a small plate. Dip the rim of each martini glass into water or chocolate syrup, then press into the crushed candy canes to coat. Set aside.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add chocolate liqueur, peppermint schnapps, vodka, and heavy cream or half-and-half. Fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until the mixture is well combined and chilled.
  4. Strain the martini into the prepared glasses. If desired, drizzle a little chocolate syrup inside the glass before pouring for extra flair.
  5. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top or add a mini candy cane to the rim for a festive touch.

Notes

[‘Chill your martini glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before serving for a frosty effect.’, ‘Adjust sweetness by reducing the amount of chocolate liqueur or adding a splash of plain vodka.’, ‘Place candy canes in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin for a mess-free garnish.’, ‘Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass for extra flair and flavor.’, ‘Experiment with garnishes like chocolate shavings, mint leaves, or whipped cream.’]
