Champagne & Strawberry Cocktail - featured image

A simple yet sophisticated cocktail combining bubbly champagne and fresh strawberries, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle of dry or semi-dry champagne
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and sliced
  • 12 teaspoons granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries into halves or quarters.
  2. Place the sliced strawberries in a bowl or cocktail shaker. Add 1-2 teaspoons of granulated sugar (optional) and a splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently mash the strawberries until they release their juices to create a thick, fruity puree.
  4. If using a cocktail shaker, add ice cubes to the shaker along with the strawberry mixture. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill the mixture.
  5. Strain the strawberry puree into serving glasses. Skip this step if you prefer a chunkier texture.
  6. Top each glass with chilled champagne, pouring slowly to preserve the bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a fresh mint leaf and a whole strawberry on the rim of the glass.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

[‘Use fresh strawberries and lemon juice for the best flavor.’, ‘Chill your serving glasses for 10-15 minutes before serving.’, ‘Taste the strawberries before adding sugar; they might already be sweet enough.’, ‘Prosecco or Cava can be used as alternatives to champagne.’, ‘For a non-alcoholic version, substitute champagne with sparkling water or ginger ale.’]
