Spooky, adorable, and irresistibly tasty jalapeno poppers wrapped in crescent roll dough with candy eyes—perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Medium-sized fresh jalapenos
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crescent roll dough
  • Candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika (optional), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Wear gloves if sensitive to spice.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, smoothing the top with a butter knife.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and slice it into thin strips. Wrap the strips around each jalapeno, leaving small gaps to mimic mummy bandages.
  6. Press candy eyes into the crescent roll dough near the top of each jalapeno popper.
  7. Place the jalapeno poppers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown.
  8. Let the poppers cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For less heat, soak jalapenos in cold water for 30 minutes after slicing. Crescent roll dough is easier to work with when chilled.
