A quick and easy homemade treat featuring creamy dark and white chocolate swirls with crunchy roasted pistachios, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) dark chocolate chips or bar (70% cacao recommended)
  • 8 oz (225 g) white chocolate chips or bar
  • 1 cup (125 g) unsalted roasted pistachios, shelled and roughly chopped
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Roughly chop the pistachios and set aside.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate with 1 tbsp vegetable or coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between, until smooth and glossy. Set aside.
  3. Melt the white chocolate with a splash of oil in a separate bowl using the same method until silky smooth.
  4. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the lined baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness, leaving small gaps for the white chocolate.
  5. Dollop spoonfuls of the white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and gently swirl together with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios evenly over the chocolate bark and optionally add a pinch of sea salt flakes.
  7. Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm and set. Alternatively, freeze for 15-20 minutes for faster setting.
  8. Lift the bark from the parchment or silicone mat and break into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Melt chocolate slowly to avoid burning or seizing. Use short microwave bursts and stir often. Toast pistachios lightly in a dry pan to enhance flavor. For vegan version, use dairy-free chocolates and coconut oil. Swirl chocolates gently to maintain distinct marbled patterns. Store bark in airtight container in a cool, dry place or refrigerator. Freeze for longer storage up to 3 months.
