  • 2 cups (480ml) chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk or heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
  • Optional: Dash of hot sauce for a spicy kick

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until completely liquified, stirring occasionally to prevent browning.
  2. Gradually whisk in the flour to create a smooth roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  3. Slowly add the broth, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in the milk or heavy cream, whisking continuously until the sauce begins to thicken, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Let the gravy simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  7. Remove from heat and pour the gravy into a serving dish. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.
