A festive fusion of creamy eggnog and chewy boba pearls, perfect for holiday celebrations and indulgent sipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240ml) eggnog
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (100g) boba pearls
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water
  • 12 black tea bags or 1 tablespoon loose black tea
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 splash vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream
  • Optional: ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups (1 liter) of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add 1/2 cup (100g) of boba pearls and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate saucepan, combine 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar with 1/2 cup (120ml) water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly. Drain the boba pearls and toss them in the syrup to coat.
  3. Steep 1-2 black tea bags (or 1 tablespoon of loose tea) in 1 cup (240ml) of hot water for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaves.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup (240ml) eggnog, 1/2 cup (120ml) milk, and a splash of vanilla extract. Sprinkle in a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon for extra flavor.
  5. Divide the boba pearls and syrup evenly between two serving glasses. Add ice cubes if desired. Pour in the brewed tea, followed by the eggnog mixture.
  6. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg. Serve with a boba straw and enjoy!
