These festive cranberry sauce jello shots with rosemary combine tart sweetness, herbal freshness, and a delightful kick of spirits for a perfect party treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin
  • 1½ cups cranberry juice
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup vodka
  • ¼ cup triple sec
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: In a medium-sized bowl, sprinkle 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over ½ cup (120 ml) of cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes thickened and spongy.
  2. Heat the Liquid: In a small saucepan, combine 1½ cups (360 ml) cranberry juice and ½ cup (120 ml) water. Heat over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
  3. Dissolve the Gelatin: Remove the pan from heat and whisk the bloomed gelatin into the warm liquid until fully dissolved.
  4. Add the Flavorings: Stir in ½ cup (120 ml) vodka, ¼ cup (60 ml) triple sec, and ½ cup (120 ml) cranberry sauce. Taste and add sugar if needed.
  5. Pour Into Molds: Carefully pour the mixture into shot glasses or molds, filling each about ¾ full.
  6. Add Garnish: Place a small sprig of fresh rosemary on top of each shot. Press it gently to ensure it stays in place.
  7. Chill: Refrigerate the shots for at least 3-4 hours, or until fully set.

Notes

[‘Do not boil the gelatin as overheating can affect its ability to set properly.’, ‘Use fresh cranberry sauce for better flavor.’, ‘Measure alcohol carefully to ensure proper setting.’, ‘Prep the shots the night before for convenience.’, ‘Get creative with garnishes like sugared cranberries or edible glitter.’]
