Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cups plain popped popcorn (air-popped or stovetop, unsalted)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate candies (like M&Ms or similar)
  • 1/3 cup candy eyeballs
  • 1/2 cup mini pretzels, broken into pieces
  • 1/3 cup orange and green sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup gummy worms or sour gummy candies
  • 1/3 cup purple and black candy melts, melted for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup chocolate cookie crumbs (like Oreos, crushed)
  • 1/3 cup green apple jelly beans or similar candies
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits or soft caramels, melted
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice blend
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional, omit for nut-free)
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries or golden raisins
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips, melted for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Pop 12 cups popcorn using your preferred method (air-popped, stovetop, or plain microwave popcorn). Pour into a large bowl, drizzle with melted butter (if using), and sprinkle with sea salt. Toss gently to coat. Let cool completely.
  2. Divide the popcorn evenly into three large bowls (about 4 cups each) for the three flavors.
  3. For Monster Mash Popcorn: Spread 4 cups popcorn on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Scatter mini chocolate candies, candy eyeballs, and mini pretzel pieces evenly over popcorn. Drizzle with melted white chocolate chips and sprinkle with orange and green sprinkles. Allow chocolate to set for 10 minutes at room temperature or 5 minutes in the fridge. Break into clusters and transfer to a serving bowl.
  4. For Witch’s Brew Popcorn: Spread 4 cups popcorn on a clean tray. Scatter gummy worms, green apple jelly beans, and crushed chocolate cookies on top. Drizzle with melted purple and black candy melts. Let toppings set, then gently toss to combine.
  5. For Pumpkin Spice Popcorn: Spread 4 cups popcorn on a tray. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice and toss gently. Drizzle with melted caramel bits, sprinkle with chopped pecans (if using) and dried cranberries. Finish with a drizzle of melted white chocolate chips. Let set, then break into clusters.
  6. Set up your popcorn bar: Transfer each flavor to its own bowl or tray. Add small bowls of extra toppings for customization. Provide scoops or tongs and festive treat bags or cups for serving.

Notes

For best results, assemble the popcorn bar no more than 4 hours before serving to keep popcorn crisp. Use gluten-free or vegan substitutes as needed. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days. Let melted toppings set before covering to prevent sogginess. Get creative with toppings and adapt for allergies as needed.
