Gooey Peeps S’mores Bars Recipe Perfect for Easter

- featured image

A festive Easter twist on classic s’mores bars, featuring colorful Peeps marshmallows, gooey chocolate, and a buttery graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 sheets graham crackers, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 package Peeps marshmallows (Easter colors and shapes)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • Butter or cooking spray for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Place the graham crackers in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. Alternatively, crush them in a zip-top bag using a rolling pin.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and sugar until evenly combined.
  4. Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden and set.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the baked crust while it’s still warm. Let them sit for 2-3 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate into an even layer using a spatula.
  6. Arrange the Peeps marshmallows on top of the chocolate layer. Fill any gaps with mini marshmallows.
  7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows are puffed and slightly golden. Cover with foil if marshmallows brown too quickly.
  8. Let the bars cool completely before slicing into squares.
