A visually stunning and delicious dish featuring heart-shaped mozzarella and tomato slices, fresh basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze. Perfect for parties, romantic dinners, or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mozzarella (soft, fresh kind in ball or log shape)
  • Roma tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the mozzarella into slices about ΒΌ inch thick. Use the heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts from each slice. Set aside.
  2. Slice the Roma tomatoes into slices approximately ΒΌ inch thick. Use the same cookie cutter to cut heart shapes from the tomato slices.
  3. Lay fresh basil leaves on your serving platter as a base. Tear large leaves into smaller pieces if needed.
  4. Place one mozzarella heart on top of a tomato heart so they align perfectly. Arrange them on the basil bed.
  5. Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the hearts for richness.
  6. Drizzle balsamic glaze in a zigzag pattern over the hearts for a touch of sweetness.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and a crack of fresh black pepper over the top.
  8. Serve the platter and enjoy!
