A quick and easy BBQ ranch chicken queso pizza perfect for game day, combining smoky BBQ chicken, creamy queso ranch sauce, and melty mozzarella on a crispy crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough ball (about 12 inches) or store-bought crust
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup smoky and tangy BBQ sauce (e.g., Sweet Baby Ray’s)
  • 3/4 cup queso cheese sauce (homemade or jarred)
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (e.g., Hidden Valley)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 12 jalapeño slices, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the shredded chicken with 1/2 cup BBQ sauce until fully coated. Set aside to marinate for about 5 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine 3/4 cup queso cheese sauce with 1/4 cup ranch dressing. Stir until smooth and creamy. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to parchment paper.
  5. Brush the dough edges with 1 tablespoon olive oil and sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder evenly over the crust.
  6. Spread the queso ranch sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.
  7. Evenly distribute the BBQ chicken over the sauce, then sprinkle 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Scatter thin slices of red onion and jalapeños over the cheese.
  9. Transfer the pizza on the parchment paper to the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  10. Remove pizza from oven and immediately sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top.
  11. Let the pizza cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

If crust edges brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil halfway through baking. For extra crispy crust, bake plain dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings. Use thicker smoky BBQ sauce to avoid sogginess. Let pizza rest 2-3 minutes before slicing to set cheese. Can assemble ahead and refrigerate before baking.
