Christmas Tree Caprese Skewers - featured image

These festive skewers combine creamy mozzarella, juicy cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and tangy balsamic glaze to create a holiday-themed appetizer that’s quick, easy, and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1215 small mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • 1215 cherry tomatoes
  • 1215 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional: Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes
  • 1215 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves, and pat them dry. Slice mozzarella balls into smaller pieces if needed.
  2. Start assembling the skewers: fold a small basil leaf in half, then add a mozzarella ball, a cherry tomato, and another basil leaf. Repeat the pattern until the skewer is full, leaving space at the bottom for handling.
  3. Arrange the assembled skewers on a serving platter to resemble a Christmas tree shape.
  4. Drizzle balsamic glaze gently over the skewers in a zigzag pattern, followed by a light drizzle of olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the skewers for seasoning. Add red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving. Cover the platter with plastic wrap if refrigerating.
