These crispy, cheesy ranch chicken cones are a quick and easy game day snack featuring a buttery biscuit dough cone filled with a tangy, cheesy chicken mixture. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a fun family treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (about 16 oz)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast (rotisserie chicken recommended)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 1 tablespoon homemade blend)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions (optional)
  • Cooking spray or melted butter (for brushing cones)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: a few dashes of hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare cone molds by spraying with cooking spray or brushing with melted butter to prevent sticking.
  3. Separate biscuit dough into individual biscuits and gently flatten each into a 4-5 inch oval or circle.
  4. Wrap each flattened biscuit around a cone mold, overlapping edges slightly to form a cone shape and press to seal edges.
  5. Place cones seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush the outside lightly with melted butter or cooking spray.
  6. Bake cones for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before removing cones from molds.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, salt, pepper, and hot sauce if using. Mix well.
  8. Fill cooled cones generously with the cheesy ranch chicken mixture.
  9. Optional: Return filled cones to the oven for 3-5 minutes to melt cheese and warm filling, or serve immediately.
  10. Garnish with extra green onions or fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Roll dough thinly for crispier cones. Use fresh shredded chicken, not canned. Brush cones well with butter or cooking spray before baking. Fill cones just before serving to avoid sogginess. Leftover cones can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness. Aluminum foil cones are a budget-friendly mold option. Variations include spicy jalapeños, vegetarian fillings, and air frying for crispiness.
