A quick and easy recipe for crispy, juicy chicken cubes seasoned with smoky Cajun spices, cooked to perfection in an air fryer for a healthy and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (blend with paprika, garlic, onion, cayenne, and thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry 1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breast. Cut into evenly sized 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon salt. Stir well to blend all spices.
  3. Drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil over the chicken cubes and toss to coat thoroughly. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken and toss again until every piece is evenly covered.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken cubes in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. Halfway through (around 5 minutes), shake the basket or use tongs to flip the cubes.
  7. Check the internal temperature; it should read 165°F (74°C). If needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked and crispy.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for best crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even cooking. Shake or flip halfway through cooking. Use minimal oil to help spices stick and promote browning. For leftovers, reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes to maintain crispiness. Frozen chicken cubes are not recommended for this recipe.
