Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe Crockpot Easy & Perfect

creamy buffalo chicken dip - featured image

A tangy, spicy, and creamy buffalo chicken dip made in a crockpot that’s perfect for parties, potlucks, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Shred your cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces. If using rotisserie chicken, remove the skin and shred the meat with two forks.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, garlic powder, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well blended.
  3. Add the shredded chicken to the mixture and gently fold it in, ensuring every piece is coated with the creamy sauce.
  4. Transfer the mixture to your crockpot and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top to create a gooey, melty layer.
  5. Set your crockpot to low heat and let it cook for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. You’ll know it’s ready when the cheese is fully melted and the dip is bubbling around the edges.
  6. Once done, garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of color and extra flavor.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, celery sticks, or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

[‘Stir the dip occasionally to ensure even cooking and prevent cheese from sticking to the sides of the crockpot.’, ‘Use freshly grated cheese for better creaminess.’, ‘Adjust the spice level by using mild buffalo sauce or adding more cream cheese.’, ‘The dip can be made ahead and reheated before serving.’, ‘If the dip is too thick, add a splash of milk to thin it out.’]
