A decadent dessert martini featuring rich chocolate liqueur, raspberry vodka, and fresh raspberry puree, finished with a sparkly sugar rim. This easy cocktail is perfect for celebrations, date nights, or cozy evenings in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 oz chocolate liqueur (Godiva or Mozart recommended)
  • 1 oz raspberry vodka
  • 0.5 oz Chambord or raspberry liqueur
  • 2 tbsp fresh raspberry puree (about 1/4 cup raspberries, mashed and strained)
  • 0.5 oz half-and-half or heavy cream (optional)
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill shaker halfway)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for rim)
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder (optional, for rim)
  • 12 fresh raspberries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sugar rim: Mix granulated sugar and cocoa powder (if using) on a small plate. Moisten the rim of a martini glass with water or a cut raspberry, then dip into the sugar mixture to coat.
  2. Make the raspberry puree: Mash about 1/4 cup fresh raspberries in a bowl. For a smooth finish, press through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  4. Add chocolate liqueur, raspberry vodka, Chambord or raspberry liqueur, raspberry puree, and half-and-half or cream (if using) to the shaker.
  5. Seal and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until frothy and ice-cold.
  6. Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass.
  7. Garnish with 1-2 fresh raspberries on a cocktail pick or float in the drink. Optionally, add a curl of chocolate or sprinkle of cocoa powder.
  8. Serve immediately while ice-cold.

Notes

For dairy-free, substitute coconut cream or almond milk for half-and-half. Use frozen raspberries if fresh are unavailable, but thaw and drain well. Adjust sweetness by tasting before pouring; add more chocolate liqueur for richness or more raspberry puree for tartness. Prep sugar rims and puree ahead for parties. For a mocktail, use chocolate syrup, raspberry juice, and cream instead of alcohol.
