Bloody Bandage Pizza Rolls

Bloody Bandage Pizza Rolls - featured image

Spooky and delicious pizza rolls with gooey cheese, tangy marinara, and flaky crescent dough—perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg beaten with a splash of water (egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into rectangles by pinching together the perforations. Use a sharp knife to cut each rectangle into thin strips for the bandages.
  3. Take a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices (if using) and roll them into small bundles. Wrap each bundle with the crescent dough strips, leaving small gaps to mimic the look of bandages.
  4. Place the wrapped rolls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out evenly.
  5. Brush each roll lightly with the egg wash to help them turn golden brown in the oven.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning over the top of the rolls for added flavor.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown.
  8. While the rolls bake, warm up your marinara sauce in a small saucepan or microwave. Stir it well and pour it into a serving dish.
  9. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before plating. Drizzle a little marinara sauce over the rolls for the ‘bloody’ effect, or serve the sauce on the side as a dip.

Notes

Chill your dough for easier handling. Don’t overfill the rolls to prevent the filling from oozing out. Double the batch for larger gatherings.
